Jack the Ripper

At the end of 1888, London experienced a wave of murders in and around the Whitechapel area. The victims were largely prostitutes who were found mutilated and with their throats slit. Although there were many suspects at the time, police had insufficient evidence to make any convictions. To date, modern day police methods have been applied to the case, but no new information has been discovered. The identity of "Jack the Ripper" remains a mystery.
