The Black Dahlia was the name given to 22 year old fledgling actress and murder victim, Elizabeth Short, who was found severed in two and artfully arranged in a section of grass near a parking lot in Los Angeles, CA in 1947. Her death spawned one of the largest police investigations in Los Angeles history. The Black Dahlia's killer has never been identified.
